The Medical Research Center at Jazan University conducted the intensive training course on SPSS applications in medical research, with a presence of over 40 faculty members from the health and other colleges.

The course began with a welcoming note from the Director of the Medical Research Center, Dr. Rashad Bin Mohammed AlSanosi, who welcomed the attendees and noted that this is the first session offered by the medical research center for the faculty members with a view to diversify the center's programs and based on its current strategic training plan for the current year and also to meet the needs of faculty members. Dr. AlSanosi added that the high demand for such training programs of the medical research center, despite its recent establishments, gives a positive impression and indication which carries a great responsibility to move forward in providing more specialized research programs and activities. "We seriously seek that such programs are of high quality and to be aligned with the University's vision to be an incubator for world-class academic  and research programs in the light of the substantial support shown by the  University President Prof. Mohammed bin Ali Al Hiazaa " He  said.

Dr. AlSanosi also praised the constructive and fruitful cooperation of the university's health colleges, pointing to the interaction of the Faculty of Medicine in the provision of the college computer lab to implement the program.

  Dr. Mohamed Mahfouz, the course instructor, gave an overview about the statistical program and its applications. Events also included an intensive practical session on the software applications in the computer lab. The questions of the trainees stimulated thinking about the key learning during the training course.

The faculty members and researchers expressed their happiness toward the organization of such courses, which added substantially increased to their knowledge level and practice in the field of research. The faculty also stressed that such diversity in the training programs and activities will enrich and enhance the research arena at the university level.

 The Assistant Director of the Medical Research Center, Dr. Anwar Makeen, said that the course is specializing in the research applications and it is based on a platform supported with international standards.  It provides an update on what has been reached in analyzing the research, which will be reflected dramatically on improving the quality of research outcomes. He also added that the center received a large number of applications which were submitted by the university students in order to participate in this training course.
